So who better to start things off than our Hungarian lads, Tits & Clits, who just recently did a HUGE Podcast for Bopper Nation prior to the most recent Mr. Vega‘s.

Tits and Clits, one of our earliest, and biggest supporters, a group that if I personally owned a label right now and had investors at my disposable I would be in Hungary nabbing these guys and Americanizing em and then taking over the world with em. Might have to change their name to T & C, but we all know what it means anyways!

It was with our first and one of our earliest releases, the Tits and Clits remix of Daft Punks – Prime Time of Your Life that caught the attention of our main Man and Founding father of Bopper Nation, Felix Da Housecat. This tune earned a spot on his Essential Mix, released in 2009 on BBC. What else can I say about these boys, well to be simple minded, one of their more recent remixes released on the site today, has the word wolf and I love Wolves. But seriously Wolfmother is the shit….and damn right A New Moon is rising.

I’d like to also take this time to honor Malo and his label Giga Beat, he has also played a huge part in Bopper Nation, sending tunes of his own and sharing his Giga lads.

Last and certainly not least I’d love to tap my hat off to Ektiv Management, Krisztian you have introduced us to sooo much Hungarian Talent…we can only continue to thank you by promoting it as much as possible on our blog: Headshot Boyz, Slap in the Bass / Dirty Monkeez, We Plants are Happy Plants ETC ETC

Tits & Clits Remix

Earlier this week I received this song from the duo we all know and love, Tits & Clits! They never fail to disappoint and are always delivering righteous tunes to the blogosphere! Unfortunately it may be awhile before us in the States are blessed with their presence (early 2010?), but if anyone happens to be in Hungary be sure to locate them..or hit us up and we will help locate them!

The song is a remix of the original work by Pnau – ‘Embrace’, which is included in this post for the curious! Beautiful vocals carry us on the melodic journey and as she breaks into the cold and eerie chorus I feel as though I’m being transported into a scene from ‘The Lost Boys’ [the original movie]. The synths and kicks are toned down and as the track appears to be nothing near ‘fidget’ we are reminded of the flexibility and maturity in the creative productions by the Budapest duo Tits & Clits!

Dropping for the first time on Bopper Nation coming from the depths of Hungary where we keep finding those amazing artist who bring that grimey dirty dirty sound that only those in their electro youth can handle! 1st Tits & Clits, then Headshot Boyz and now this, What is in the water?

They have unoficially (well, sometimes for official competitions) remixed Justice, Don Rimini, Robyn, Digitalism last year, and this year they had their biggest hit to date in the form of their take on Daniel Merriweather’s Change which got played by the producer of the original, Mark Ronson on his radio show, prompting genuinely enthusiastic comments from him. recently they have won a remix contest for Daniel Haaksman track in ghetto bass category and they also did their version for Major Lazer’s Pon de Floor. Currently they are busy creating a whole bunch of new tracks of their own.”

Ever since I discoverd this deadly duo I found myself hungry for more and ever since Felix Da Housecat discovered their Prime Time remix it has appeared in his live sets and been included in his Essential Mix on BBC’s Radio 1. Included are two songs that were recently sent to us at thee nation as well as their Prime Time remix. Tits & Clits remixes have been pentrating the world of Hype Machine and their original works are creating a fire of their own. The band is two guys born in Budapest, Hungary called BCS and Ben, “young, talented graphic designers and long-time friends who started making music during the summer of 2007 as a joke. But as time and their skills progressed they got seriously into it without losing their take-it-as-it-comes slackness and coolness about their music.” They have shared the stage alongside Fakeblood and D.I.M. as well as many others and we can expect to see and hear more of them in the future.
