Da Change

Yo Boppers.

mercurius fm mondays Da Change

First up we’re going back to the early 90s vinyl days… here is a classic tune by Romanthony. This is a great track, both for listening and the dancefloor. This track was original coupled with Hold On, a similar track that was later rereleased on Thomas Bangalter’s label.

This next track is a 80s infused remix by Alan Braxe & Fred Falke. Quite aggressive sounding for their usual sound but still lush and dynamic. This is a great track for those who love electric baselines.

Mood Songs

Yo Boppers.

Lately, my posts have been really dope and this one is definitely on the mark too.

First up we have the latin house classic, Summer Daze. I really love this track because the mood of the song is so chill and happy. I first discovered it when I heard a DJ set by Together and Cassius recorded in 2002. Easily one of those tracks that you hear and will just make you happy.

Finally, we have a US Garage House classic by Daft Punk star singer, Romanthony. A very uplifting and very House music track. Initially released in 1994 as a B-side to Da Change, an equally good track, this was then later re-released on Thomas Bangalter’s label, Roule, in 1999.

Should have some more updates soon. Stay tuned Boppers.

Circa 1997

Hey Bopperz!

This week I’m dropping some House bangers on you (wait, didn’t I do that last week too?). These are both tracks that I would personally use in my sets, even TODAY. These kick drums hit hard.

First, we have another classic from Thomas Bangalter… Do I really need to say more? This track is so rad and energetic. You can hear the vinyl crackle from when he sampled it.

Finally, a classic from Romanthony. The voice behind Daft Punk’s “One More Time” and “Too Long”. He also has various classic House cuts. This track doesn’t really display his singing talent, but instead is just ridiculously good production. This track was made circa 1997.
