Twenty Ten Essential Tunes

There is no proper way to unload an assortment of tunes from artist who only share one thing in common, filling up our mailbox and making our hearts rock. Each of these tunes shook me away and I wanted to share them as soon as I received em, but I’ve been so busy recovering from the weekend, preparing for the weekend and working working working working. But here they are.

Pretty Lights - Fly Away Another Day

Pretty Lights again breaks me back to the romantic state Ellie Goulding had me in, but then the electrical cord sparks and suddenly I’m at mercy to high paced volts with arcade coin sounds and sad piano riffs.

Crookers Ft. Soulwax & Mixhell - We Love Animals (Religion remix)

Nick & Kevin from Religion never cease to amaze me. There is much potential within these two and I am happy to know them because one day they will be larger than life and too cool too associate with us #boppers…but for now they are rocking that Bn sticker proudly on their laptop and continue to surprise us with their originals and remixes. This Soulwax/Crookers mix of Animals has sparked a flame ever since it hit the Bunsen burner.

Dylan Rhymes v Tom Real - Godzilla (Fussy Boy remix)

And just in case everything was too soft and not deadly enough for those dirty hardcore rocketeering Bopper types. I’ve unleashed ‘Godzilla’ with the help of Dylan Rhymes and Tom Real, remixed by Fussy Boy. Lot 49 is responsible for this menacing beast and its angry roar. So enjoy the sound of crunching hardware and prepare to be floored.

Coco Machete’s mainstay Fukkk Offf takes a crack at remixing Popular Damage! Popular Damage who previously remixed Zoot Woman and Digitalism on Bopper Nation latest EP ‘The Royal Fly’ is screaming/itching to get out and loaded with remixes of ‘Everybody Got Young’ from Double Dragon & Fukkk Offf and we are fortunate to share the Fukkk Offf remix!

‘Popular Damage’ is a dance-punk/pop act from Berlin and Manchester composed of Nadine Raihani and Stephan Hengst. Originally picked up with covers of ‘Digitalism’ and ‘Tegan and Sara.’ The Digitalism cover is nothing short of the awesomeness we expect, Jence is quite the electronic scientist and Popular Damage keeps the spirit intact while adding their own flair.
