artistandmusic l 6889b57ac7994f90b7bb9db7b9495aca Le Knight Club From 1998 to Now

Le Knight Club - Troobadoor 1998

“Daft Punk divided by two is Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo” And for those who don’t know Le Knight Club is Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo & Éric Chedeville. They have been working together for 13 years under their own label Crydamoure (translated Cry of Love).

Le Knight Club - Nymphae Song 10 April 2002

Described as a “French House style with a Disco touch” but enough with the formalities check out the chunes for yourselves!

David Guetta - Stay (Le Knight Club remix) 2004

As promised we are starting with their 1998 original tune and working our way through 10 April 2002, to their remix of David Guetta in 2004.

Le Knight Club - Soul Bells (Darius edit)

Then of course we are including the most present tune, a Darius edit of Soul Bells.

Anyways, Boppernation is doing its best to keep things House and get back to the roots. Electro is everywhere everywhere everywhere and can be found on any blog, not discrediting it in any shape or form, hey I still love it and still will post it, but let us give it up for House..or bring it down!!!!!!

Thanks to On the Spur of the Moment

Big Time

Good day to you Boppers.

To start you off on your week, I put my iTunes on shuffle to find these songs. We’ve got some big time House and a nice underground UK Garage jam.

mercurius fm mondays Big TimeI wanna go here.

The first track today features a memorable sample from the classic spaghetti western, For a Few Dollars More. It was made in 1997 when UK Garage was peaking as a popular style. Nice drums here along with a rather dubbed out style mixed in.

187 Lockdown - Gunman (Original Mix)

To wrap things up, I’ll share with you one of my favorite remixes of Cassius by Joachim Garraud and now super-producer David Guetta. All the vocals are intact and laid on top of a nicely distorted tech house riff. This track features some good variety in the beat and cool club vibe.

Cassius - The Sound Of Violence (David Guetta & Joachim Garraud Dancefloor Killa Mix)

On a final note, feel free to check out my remix of Ok Go. Its very Prince-y in style, and I would appreciate your votes! See you next week!

I’ve got some more goodies for you. Took me some time to pick out which tracks this week, but turned up with some more gems.

Our first track is by French House master, Sebastien Leger. Its a hard funky house track featuring Bopper favorite, Junior Sanchez. The intense groove on this track is sure to get people moving. Also worth noting, Leger is known to produce with all hardware… so real samplers, real drum machines, etc.

Sébastien Léger - No Problem (Ft Junior Sanchez)

It may come as a surprise to many Americans, but David Guetta actually made music before 2009. All jokes aside, this here is a remix of an old David Guetta single from 2004 as remixed by Le Knight Club (I don’t think I need to reintroduce them again). I really loved this track when I first heard it. It features very nice production, although minimalist in design, and a very dramatic vibe.

Our first track is by Bob Sinclar. A very simple House beat over a spoken vocal mixed in with some disco samples. This track comes off the same album that featured the Thomas Bangalter produced, Gym Tonic.

Bob Sinclar - Vision Of Paradise

Finally, we have a euro disco classic remade into modern day euro disco.. aka Electro House. Big baselinin’ going on in this track. David Guetta and Joachim Garraud apply their production mastery very well and tastefully to this mega track. Cerrone’s original is considered a classic among disco fanatics, and its worth mentioning he was on par with Giorgio Moroder, but indeed had far less mainstream success.

Cerrone - Supernature (David Guetta & Joachim Garraud Remix)

Also, don’t forget to vote for my remix of Yeasayer which I entered into a contest @ MadDecent.com. You can vote for it each day if you like..
