Some more jams to tide you over till Thanksgiving!

Our first track has a familiar voice to many French House fanatics. The voice is from Stardust’s hit single, Music Sounds Better With You. Benjamin Diamond. This is a particularly fantastic remix by another French master, Cosmo Vitelli. Enjoy all this funky bass and syncopation.

Going way back in thee day, we have an acid house track circa 1988. Featuring lots of classic sounds including the TR-808 and TB-303. Download this track and drop it in your set for a slice of House history.

Don’t Be Light

Welcome back Bopperz.

This week I found some less conventional French dance tunes. I’m also planning out a mix/podcast for BN which you can look forward to in the weeks to come.

First up, we have a remix by Mr Oizo of French mega band, AIR. This is an electro remix of one of Air’s top singles, Don’t Be Light. I know this remix isn’t like this big groove track, but if you speed it up when you’re DJing, I could see this track working pretty rad in a set. Very minimal and electro (actual electro) style production here… as if you would expect anything else from Mr Oizo.

Next up we have a synth pop House track by Cosmo Vitelli. This song is all about vibe and feeling. Great production work here and a fun song. This came off of Cosmo Vitelli’s great (and only) album, Clean. He is also working on his own Parisian label, I’m A Cliché.

Sexy Directions

New Monday, New post… Today, I’ll share 2 personal favorites. I used to listen to these so much over the passed few years. I’ll keep this issue short and get to the music.

A nice treat from House master Armand Van Helden. This was a moderately successful anthem he made which was dwarfed by its brother anthem, My My My. I preferred this one and in fact, I’ve decided I’ll be making an edit of it soon to get it back in play.

Armand Van Helden - Into Your Eyes

Next up is a new face for my post… Cosmo Vitelli. Some of you may know him from Daft Punk’s Daft Club compilation or perhaps from his 2003 studio album Clean. He’s a producer and songwriter who showcases the classy Parisian synth House sound stunningly. This remix is of fellow Parisian House masters Cassius and takes the song in a completely new and sexy direction. I love this one so much.
