mmmatthias 2010 promo mix l a236abcd6af144d6b3b8e953347461c4 MMMatthias 2010 Mix

2010 has a lot to offer right out of the runway and all the hard working artist took only a minor breath of air in December, but now they are all working very hard. MMMatthias is up to a lot, as is dAi. For now we are sharing a mix with a lot of great content and we are sharing a dAi remix.

MMMatthias 2010 Promo Mix

This mix contains an assortment of exclusive unreleased material and it is just plain unfair! I take that back, what is more than righteous is MMMatthias sharing these tunes, which are unavailable to the public, through an insane mix. Tunes from Congorock, Sharooz, GTronic as well as MMMatthias very own remix edit of Boys Noize Nott! and let me just say..that Knott edit..wow!

the List continues…

Tracklist:
1. Digitalfoxglove – ??? (MMMatthias Dub)
2. Claude VonStroke – Vocal Chords (Tom EQ Remix)
3. Congorock – Babylon
4. Boys Noize – Nott (MMMatthias Edit)
5. MMMatthias – Lies (Ikki Remix)
6. Pink is Pad – Pink is back (GTronic Remix)
7. The Sneekers – Germs (MMMatthias Remix)
8. MMMatthias – James (LaClopeAuBec Remix)
9. Sharooz – Saccharin (SonicC Remix)
10.MMMatthias – The Answer

And as if that wasn’t enough….

The Knife - Colouring Of Pigeons (DAI REFIX)

Stay tuned for dAi, 2010 promises some BIG things in the words of MMM and with this sneak peak in the form of a Knife remix = high Expectations.

ATTACK 1985

artistandmusic attack cross ATTACK 1985

Rewind it back with some remixes and fast forward to  a teaser for an insane track ‘intruder’ as well as a ‘massive’ mix tape!

ATTACK 1985 - MASSIVE mix

I first found ATTACK 1985 when checking out ‘Peanuts Club’ remixes.  I then rediscovered ATTACK 1985 when RAPTOR played out their ‘Intruder’ single live in California! ‘Intruder,’ which isn’t out yet is teasing it’s way across the interwebs as we all wait for the Juno/Beatport etc release! Enjoy the video below.

ATTACK 1985 – Intruder (Teaser) from ATTACK 1985 on Vimeo.

I am always a sucker for Boys Noize related content and even though &down is sooooo ‘old’ and Boys Noize himself probably dislikes playing it anymore, I had to share this remix found on ATTACK’s Fairtilizer!

Boys Noize - &down (ATTACK 1985 remix)

Of course things wouldn’t be complete without including a remix from The Proxy, who is having his first US tour soon and well with ATTACK paying tribute to those heavy crunchy distorted tones we must also pay tribute with their remix of ‘Ready 2 Watching’

The Proxy - Ready to Watching (ATTACK 1985 remix)

And would things be complete without their Peanuts Club Remix? I think not. Now many people remixed and played out this song, including one of my personal favorites done by Buttonmasher and the lighter bubbly tone Monsieur Monsieur remix. But ATTACK 1985 takes the cake for having a remix of this track that only briefly touches on the original tones before completely distorting off into their own reality of music.

Hello 2010

artistandmusic article 1239607 07BB6524000005DC 760 964x661 300x205 Hello 2010

Major Lazer - Pon De Floor (Chewy Chocolate Cookies Remix)

Happy New Years Bopper Nation!
2010 a new decade, it is our decade. Wherever you are tonight/today make it last! Our painful decade of political follies, war, recession, celebrity deaths is over. Until of course we litter 2010 with new ones! Just kidding.
-wolf

Massive Tunes that shook us Hard.

Felix Cartal – Drone
Every time this mechanical beast is unleashed I am at awe. I’ve probably listened to this song more times than I should, put it on the back-burner and let it reemerge and it still feels like my first time listening to it every time.

Felix Da Housecat – Kickdrum
(in the words of Lil’ Feezy “An unbelievably simple and effective track. One of those ‘why didn’t I think of that?’ moments for me.” – (felixcartal.com)

Boys Noize – Starter
When the Starter/Jeffer package emerged I was insanely anxious for POWER, but worried these two tunes would dominate everything else on the cd. Well they certainly cast a huge shadow – but then again POWER is full of so many great tunes and Transmission is continually growing into a monster – cannot wait to hear the remixes

D.I.M. & TAI – Lyposuct
& so many people who made their list of 2009 favorites included Lyposuct…& with so many artist playing it out and none doing it better than Felix – one has to accept that D.i.M. & TAI teamed up to make something dangerous. In 2010 is it ok to ask, ‘Can they do it again!’

Major Lazer – Pon De Floor (Chewy Chocolate Cookies)

& with so many remixes out there I have to pay tribute to one song that was just remixed so right that it completely crushed the original – in my opinion. This just in, song won [ details here ].

Daft Punk – Prime Time of Your Life (Tits & Clits Remix)
& in the silence of Daft Punk, with only small leaks of TRON tracks. How can we not appreciate Tits & Clits for bringing it back. Wishing you all a Happy New Year in the Prime Time of Your Life!

Loud & Quiet’s interview of Erol Alkan

loud quiets interview w erol alkan erolalkan6 Loud & Quiets interview of Erol Alkan

A message to the Producers of today from Erol Alkan:

“The reason Chemical Brothers (and Daft Punk) have had the success they’ve had is through their subtlety, their detail – it’s not mindless. Not to dismiss the current scene, but there is stuff that has got a bit too hard and a bit too mindless – if we’re not careful we’re only a few steps from Hard House or stuff like that. Let’s bring some funk back, let’s not just bang our heads on walls!”- Erol Alkan (An excerpt from an amazing interview found on Loud & Quiet dot com (Loudandquiet.com). [read full interview here].

This interview was full of many great quotes and to say the very least it was informative. Included in the interview is a recap on Erol’s achievements, as well as the moments leading up to and his latest collaboration project with Boys Noize. Which in September we’ve all heard the recent encounter Death Suite/Waves, but in the interview Erol Alkan prepares us for more! ““We’ve [Boys Noize & Erol] got about 10 unfinished tracks that we’re working on together,” confirms Erol.”-Loud & Quiet. The interview also talks about Erol’s first booking of Alex Ridha (Boys Noize) The interview also gives the curious readers an insight of the process that takes place when two great solo artist get in the laboratory together and make music! I definitely give this interview a 5/5 and recommend all Bopper check it out and leave comments on their page!

Boys Noize – Power

boys noize power review 41uiUeXJcdL. SS400 Boys Noize Power

Boys Noize ‘Power’ (Released: October 2009)

Boys Noize latest release ‘Power’ hit stores in October 2009 and was globally distributed. In anticipation of it’s arrival a 12″ was released by Boyz Noise containing both Starter and Jeffer. Following later in October were two powerful remixes of Jeffer by Para One and Modeselektor!

Alex Ridha or Boys Noize previous release ‘Oi Oi Oi‘ is full of many memorable tracks, but lacks the feel of an album. And although ‘Oi Oi Oi’ is heavily equipped with powerful tracks and club bangers, the cd itself is more of a compilation of singles than a full album. On the contrary, Boys Noize latest release not only contains ‘Power’ but it shows the importance of balance and structure.

Without organization, ‘Power’ is messy and trying to control it is as impossible as a construction working attempting to train a tornado to demolish houses. That being said, the structure of Power and Ridha’s ability to organize tracks together and to create an overall sense of even flow is flawless in this latest album.

Opening with ‘Gax’ I feel the electricity of the album slowly leaking out as the doors of ‘Power’ are open. As the listener is stunned in awe and overwhelmed with anticipation for the rest of the album, ‘Kontact Me’ the second track comes roaring on and demands “Come With Me!” As it then goes on to say “Do You Remember?”  How could we forget? Anyone  who has been to a Boys Noize performance never forgets the energy that is contained within the conducting DJ and Producer Boys Noize!

And anyone who has seen Alex perform, or had the pleasure of listening to his mixes has always known that he is not only a powerful artist but also a well-balanced DJ. Which is why the structuring of this CD came as no surprise and was highly appreciated. Like a story with a great beginning, middle and End this album takes us on a journey that we will never forget.

Three of my personal favorite tracks are grouped together: ‘Starter’, ‘Jeffer’ and ‘Transmission,’ but don’t get me wrong the album is full of many great songs and I truly believe in the importance of hearing this piece as a whole! I highly recommend checking out those Jeffer remixes, which are also available to purchase now!

  1. Boys Noize - Gax
  2. Boys Noize – Kontact Me
  3. Boys Noize – Starter
  4. Boys Noize – Jefer
  5. Boys Noize – Transmission
  6. Boys Noize – Nerve
  7. Boys Noize – Trooper
  8. Boys Noize – Drummer
  9. Boys Noize – Sweet Light
  10. Boys Noize – Rozz Box
  11. Boys Noize – Nott
  12. Boys Noize – Heart Attack

Come with Me

October, formerly known as the month of Ghouls is now the month of Power! Greedy fans of Boys Noize consume any tracks that leak out through small releases, mixes, remixes and live performances as they slowly die from the anticipation of the latest Boys Noize album, ‘Power.’

Fortunately Bopper Nation was given the pleasure to release Audionites remix of ‘Kontact Me,’ a tune that has yet to be released from the album ‘Power.’ This song is guaranteed to punch holes through the speakers as it claws its way out and Audionite was just crazy enough to tame it. Also included on the site is a link to Audionite’s Fairtilizer page, where there are some other great remixes and amazing originals. Make sure not to miss his remix of Birdy Nam Nam – The Parachute Ending!
