TRON cannot come out sooner, Monster Massive is already here and I’m sneaking in one more tune before the Weekends. The duo who needs no introduction has brought on an awesome, new, and dare I say unique twist to Daft Punk’s famous “Robot Rock.”

This weekend is without a doubt a great start to Hallows Eve. Thanksgiving and Christmas are only celebrated on one or two days, although if you’re Jewish there is Hannukah, but Halloween is a week long holiday, it starts the Weekend before and ends on the Weekend of.
For party goers in Southern California, Monster Massive is this Saturday: Oct 23rd, 2010. Felix Da Housecat, Armand, Classixxx, Axwell, etc..So here’s a couple tunes to listen to while traveling to the show. And if you aren’t going to make it out or can’t, here are some tunes to enjoy regardless.
Here is a SNEAK PEAK at a tune that will be released November 1st on Big Fish Recordings:
First up, Porter Robinson, Lazy Rich & Sue Cho with this highly original & banging tune, “Hello.” For those who don’t know, recently Porter Robinson made some noise on the Beatport charts with “Say My Name” and I don’t see why this track shouldn’t equally storm the charts!
Here is tune officially released Monday (10-18-2010):
Next up our buddies, Zed’s Dead, took a crack at Jeuce’s latest single “Kiss.” We are here sharing that remix to listen to, as well as a version by Hatcha & Lost to download.
Each remix has its’ own thing going on and these artist all bring a different twist to electronic music. Readers can sign up to get all three songs and/or show support and purchase off iTunes/Beatport. If there is no money and you are that lazy, here are all the songs for listening:
“Party starters Deadly People combine forces with Abracada, to present an amazing line up of DJ talent for the London leg of the ‘It’s A Kind Of Magic’ European tour. Held at the capital’s finest new clubbing venue XOYO, the event will be showcasing some of the most exciting new dance talent including The Krays, The Aikiu, Pilooski, Villa, The Magician, Mikix The Cat, Mustang and unannounced Special Guests Renaissance Man.”
Getting information on events like this makes me want to come back across the pond even more! For those who can’t attend and for those who want to get even more amped up about the event, enjoy the tunes. “The Abracada tour also visits New York, Paris, Brussels and Glasgow.” [ more information here ].
Yuksek & Brodinski are both amazing artist and as a duo, The Krays, their productions are nothing short of bliss. “‘We’re Ready When You Are’ ft. Ebony Bones is their first effort as a twosome, a rollercoaster ride of joyful acid house, discofied percussion and the energy of a thousand twisted raves.” And who doesn’t love to hear DJ Mehdi’s twist on already stellar tunes?
The Aikiu & Mikix The Cat tracks/remixes are great, minimal tech with bubbly drips. These events are going to be huge if you can make it out to one nearby, GO!!

“I wanted to give everyone a good sampling of some of the different parts of the genre I’m into right now. You’ll find some dutch sounds, some tech house sounds, some breaks, a lot of dubstep elements, some grunge rock – a new personal fave I’ve been getting into – and of course slamming, peak-hour electro basslines throughout! I featured some artists that are fresh to the scene and making banging tracks such as Uppermost from France and PeaceTreaty from the US. I also included two tracks I worked on personally – A mashup of Felguk’s “Exceeder” w Afrojack’s “Bangduck” and a cover I remixed on for La Bouche’s “Sweet Dreams”. Both are available for free download at www.soundcloud.com/miketeez.
As usual I start off heavy and dirty and keep it pretty much balls to the wall throughout; though there are a couple down moments to catch your breath! I’m especially fond of the Zodiac Cartel Remix in the middle of the set; it’s very grimy! And if you listen close near the ending of the mix you’ll hear the sickest Sesame Street sample ever! Enjoy!”
Loren aka Bassnectar takes nostalgic melodies & styles and transforms them into modern pleasures. Whether its remixing the classic rock/metal I grew up on, Metallica, to creating original tracks with that sound or diving into the underground raw hip hop of the Bay, Bassnectar always comes in smashing it all to pieces with his unique dubby basssssss!
A couple tracks including the first two on Wildstyle EP focus more on that Hip Hop aspect I love, but it’s NOT Hip Hop. And just as I’m about to nail Bassnectars’ style down, Loren throws a curveball, the third track: ‘Falling ft. Paper Machete.’ Its got the spacey vibes of Radiohead, that I love, with the trailing vocals to match, but when that bass kicks the unique sound can only be one!
’808 Track ft. Mighty High Coup,’ is catchy as hell, I already see the crowd moshing and singing along! There is a more Housey feel to ‘Underwater ft. Tina Malia’ but again Bassnectar SLAMS us with the Bass!
This EP reeks of Bassnectars’ diversity as an artist, switching up styles and tempos, hitting us softer and harder than ever simultaneously! And although a few tracks may have similar moments, each one is uniquely its’ own and there is no overuse or abuse of sounds and samples, its’ 100% Fresh!
Seven Tracks, some would say that it isn’t enough, but the playback ability on this EP is great and the greedy fans are always going to starve themselves for more even when they are more than satisfied. A well balanced release guaranteeing to have a favorite song for everyone. Softer tones of ‘Fun with Synthesizers’ and catchy vocals in ‘Underwater,’ as well as an anthem cheering ’808 track.’
Enough of my own opinons, catch it for yourself: [Purchase]
Once I found electronic music I was overwhelmed with the richness of sound, but the thing I have always enjoyed most is its’ unique ability to turn any sound into music. “Flat Line,” turns the emergency center into a rhythmic rush. As the Heart Rate Monitor keeps time, beeps and signals a stop, our hearts simultaneously speed up, and anticipate the drop.
“Flat Line” is being released November 22nd on Beatport via Rx Music. “Now where is that damned defibrillator?”
Junior Sanchez is no stranger to Bopper Nation and he is making some serious NOISE in the scene with his # 1 Beatport single “Where You Are” on Size Records. “Pankaj “Punk FM” is one half of Trendroid & Brick City (Kinetic Transport 6 /Twisted /Renaissance ) and is coming off the debut release on Rx Music called “Rumba Magic.”
Ready for another week of low pass filters and chopped up samples syncopated to a 4/4 electronic beat? I sure am.
The first track is a little known remix by Feadz of a little know track by Krazy Baldhead. This track dates back all the way to 2004, marking Krazy Baldheads debut and Ed Banger Records 4th release. Feadz really kills it on this remix giving you lots of energy.
Our next remix is a mysterious bootleg of Thriller. I have no idea how I found it or when it was made… or even who made it! But it’s pretty solid and perfect for mixing into a modern House mix. The best thing about it, is its got most all of the verses intact and is very respectful to the original. Also, its a good track for Halloween sets.
