“Felix’s music has always had a very special place in my heart. I had always been into electronic music as a kid, but in the 90′s with the early stages of electroclash and the related movements, it was Felix’s work that inspired me the most. As both a producer, a DJ and just a music enthusiasts, I’ve always loved the diversity of his sound and his willingness to make weird sh*t just a little more approachable through involving elements of pop. The music is so many things at the same time: edgy, funky, soulful, classy and occasionally hard as hell. His music along with artists like Ellen Allien, Miss Kittin, Tricky, Radiohead, Bjork and Tiga has served incredibly instrumental in inspiring the wide array of sounds that come out through my music. My music is a reflection of things that I’ve come from, and in light of recent controversy I want to encourage us all to remember that the entire scene needs to take a look at where it came from. Let’s remember the spirit of innovation, experimentation, community, peace, love, unity and respect that brought us all to where we are today.
