Track of the Week/Month Afrojack

Gobble Gobble Gobble. Looks like our Track of the Week fell on Thanksgiving this year!

Spencer & Hill - Cool (Afrojack Remix)

Featuring Afrojack’s remix of ‘Cool’ as a Track of the Week was an unanimous decision. Rising artist like Afrojack remind me why I live and breathe the air of blissful audio waves. His music nestles right in there with a category of tunes I like to call bubbling and it mixes perfectly with the acid like tones of house, but also has the strength and power to match the electro scene. His remix of Riverside was one of the earlier tunes to catch my attention, but I still find myself playing out his Moombah remix and let us not forget his original hits too!

The ‘Cool’ remix contains many of the elements that make up my love and enjoyment of Afrojacks music. It has those bubbling tones and fun vocals, “So what I really wanna say is…” but most importantly his music never lets you get bored by conservatively switching things up throughout the song. The important thing to notice is Afrojack’s control, he plays with a great deal of elements that can be full blown abused, such as the sirens and bubbling wah wahs, but he keeps it together and at times where most artist would find themselves leaning on a particular sample for 3 minutes he knows exactly when to drop and breakdown each song.

Track of the Week, Enjoy the Silence

Dedicated to the man on the road, Papa Fe! Safe travels and try to Enjoy the Silence whenever possible..if possible…full time Mr. Mama and Touring DJ. Sleep and Silence may be limited, but it definitely makes one appreciate it more. Boppers this song doesn’t need any introduction and I’m not posting the original for download because there is NO reason why all of you shouldn’t already have it and if not go buy it or find some way to get it asap! Why am I posting a wind down song at the start of the weekend, because there is nothing more beautiful then the ‘calm before the storm.’

Exclusive Electric Sex

the music single 300x300 Exclusive Electric Sex

Electric Sex
[DJ Ruckus, Cory Enemy, Illuminati, Dillon Francis, M.P. & Akira]

November 17th is the official release of DJ Ruckus’ Electric Sex’ with productions and works by Cory Enemy, DJ Ruckus, Akira, M.P. and remixes from Illuminati and Dillon Francis!

The original/main works of ‘Electric Sex’ and ‘Double Negative’ are worth checking out as soon as they become available! [purchase single here]. Until then…enjoy these three remixes of ‘Electric Sex’ that we are officially releasing at Bopper Nation!

DJ Ruckus ft. Akira, M.P. - Electric Sex (Cory Enemy Radio Edit)

Each of different spins on ‘Electric Sex’ bring something of merit and contain the respective artist unique and different styles while maintaining the essence of the original ‘Electric Sex.’ The Radio Edit by Cory Enemy contains his heavy riff signature, but more importantly in it’s firepower is a sense of maturity and organization. Finding that happy medium and control of when to drop that menacing bass is what separates the hard from the ‘happy hardcore.’  With sexy beeps and rainy sound waves the Dillon Francis remix is the perfect tune to get the bodies sweating on the dance floor. The Illuminati remix slowly builds up into a frenzy of noise which will surely imprison the bodies in dance, play at your own risk!

I will once again repeat, ‘Double Negative’ is one hell of a track too, with an original and Illuminati remix that are worth checking out as soon as they become available!

Flash!!!! Track of the Week 11/12

november 2009 flash29 online Flash!!!! Track of the Week 11/12

Flash! OoOOooOo Savior of the Universe!

Hi:Fi vs. Dave Darell - Flash 2.9 is one hell of a song and with the history of it in our early bopcasts with Papa Fe it is no surprise that it was chosen as our Track of the Week!

This is a song for the mature and although it may bring up awkward memories of the recent ice-skating movie, with Will Ferrel and that Napolean Dynamite kid, I can assure you that the song came first! Queen & Vanguards Flash (2003) is a beast to be reckoned with and the Darell v. Hi:Fi is the fruit us electronic junkies hunger for!

Sit back and load the Bopgun. I’m taking the Boppers back to Lectro/Indie tuesdays, B.M.M. (Before Mr Momma) and taking others to Blades of Glory, but I hope I’m taking everyone to a place of extreme comfort and musical satisfaction!

Check out more Dave Darell!

Track of the Week 11/5/09

november 2009 ForLackofaBetterNameAlbum Track of the Week 11/5/09
Deadmau5 – FML [album: Lack of a Better Name]

Welcome to November, is everyone ready for MOAR??? I know CTRL is. This song has made a mess of things time after time and although it quite similar to Laidback Luke – My God, I figured it was appropriate we get the Big Cheese up on the site (after all we have had direct requests). And what better time to release a track from the Mau5 then following the release of his latest album ‘For Lack of a Better Name,’ and his latest performance at HARD in Los Angeles.

The track is FML. And it a Track of the Week to reckon with. If anyone plans to spin this out, I recommend using it wisely. The audience will be pumped with rounds from the mau5′s laser ‘pew pew’ and kicked heavily by his thundering bass! GO get his latest release, ‘For Lack of a Better Name’ every single track on there is worth listening to over and over again as well as playing out.

Video from Felix & Track of Week

Video Title: ‘Everyone is a Critic’ [youtube excerpt: "Someone likes to hear themselves talk, they defiantly have an opinion" ]

“This extra normal stuff has a long way to go before real actors start losing their jobs. For instance we can only say our lines one way. Do you see what I am talking about. What we have here is a failure to communicate. So that it means that all we will ever be is retarded pixar slackers, stoned versions of the incandescent pixar characters that litter the pixar movie genre….”

“And now they have released the toy movies in theater again, this time in 3D. Jesse the Cowgirl and Bo Peep should be extra hot in 3D, there is no better way to confuse children then to introduce love interest for Tom Hanks characters. Who cares if any toys are interested in Tim Allen. Black Barbie needs to join the cast for sure, she is some Black Sugar. I’ll think about these dolls next time I am recording for Felix Da Housecat. Standing on the corner watching cards go by, do you find me attractive? I will be your slave. I will do Anything.”

“you think that its funny to do a monologue with two characters.”

“It doesn’t really work if you start blabbing your mouth”

“If you can type you can Make Movies”

Is there a more suiting way to introduce our track of the week?

Go Buy Flashmob, the whole album is one great song after another. Import off itunes or click below for pre-order.
