Disco House

Yo Bopperz.

Now this is my type of jam. Lots of disco sampling make this track a true disco House tune. Couple that with some sexy shuffle drums and you’ve got yourself a party. Great track by the elusive Adjuster.

We’ve got some more disco stomping goodness on this next track. A cool remix of Space Cowboy’s Crazy Talk. It features new House diva vocals and tons of low pass filtering. Any fans of the classic disco House sound be sure to check this one out.

Hot Shot

Hi Bopperz.

Today we’re starting off with a jazz remix by Japanese producer Mondo Grosso, aka Shinichi Osawa. In his typical fashion this track bangs hard and is full of sound. The bassline here is real thick, and the breakdowns are real classy. Fun jazzy party tune.

Archie Shepp – Blues for Brother George Jackson (Mondo Grosso Next Wave Mix)

This next track isn’t really House, more of a disco edit thats basically proto House. Masters At Work take this hard disco tune and make it even harder and structured for djing. Great track that doesn’t stray far from the original. Bonus points for anyone who knows what track 2 famous Parisians sampled the original of this track in.

Shuffle

With today’s post we’re going back in the mid 90s. The first track is by Inner Tube and is considered a classic. Packed to the brim with aggressive House shuffle drums and a pulsing bassline which goes in tandem with a smooth synth. Great to check out. Lots of cool little sounds in it.

Inner Tube – Pump Me Up! (Mumblin’ Jim Mix)

Next we have some classic French sounds from none other than Etienne De Crecy and Philippe Zdar aka Motorbass. I chose this track because it has some really cool drums. It also has the typical Motorbass sound, which is jazzy subdued soundscapes. Good jam.

Thats Where I Want 2 Be

Word up Boppers.

Todays first track is by Buffalo Bunch. It was released on Guy of Daft Punk’s record label, Crydamoure. That is reason alone to get it, but also, its a damn good record. Probably not a peak time track, but its very nice.

Finishing up today with some NYC House by none other than Armand Van Helden. This is a remix of the Kim English classic Nite Life. Great tune, even for modern times. I was reading Youtube comments for this track and apparently, it was sped up when played out, specifically +8 on the ol’ wheels of steel.

Revolution

This first track is a remix by Boys Noize of Kid Alex… which is him too. So yeah. Tons of sub bass in this track. Its one of those tracks you’d expect to hear in some club in Berlin in the middle of the night. Lots of cool stuff happening here.

Next up, we’re basslinin’ with Roger Sanchez (& Junior Sanchez) on his remix of Daft Punk’s Revolution 909. We all know the original track… and this remix is like that but on steroids! The bass is so bangin and the drums are jacked up.

Hey Boppers.

Our first track is a remix by Switch which boldly features a Jimi Hendrix sample. Theres a lot of syncopation happening and a pretty big build up. This is a great way to put Jimi in your DJ sets.

Speaker Junk – Foxxy (Switch Remix)

Our next track brings us back to French House circa 1999. Big beats, compressed and filtered. This track features a Notorious BIG sample over a big bassline. Check it out.
